The Device Portfolio Manager has ownership
of the device roadmap and lifecycle planning of those devices. The
Device Portfolio Manager works with internal teams such as supply chain,
reverse logistics and quality to ensure that we are delivering the ideal
customer experience on all devices in the portfolio. The Device
Portfolio Manager is responsible for maintaining a 0-18 month view of
the device roadmap and providing guidance for device selection. |

Responsibilities |
- Monitors industry developments in
the areas of technology, products and services
- Works closely with customer
acquisition product management and engineering teams to understand
the company’s priorities
- Works with Device Strategy Manager
and/or handset OEM’s to influence new device development to meet
customers’ needs
- Develops a consolidated 0 to 18
month device roadmap utilizing a device selection framework based on
the feature and services roadmap that supports the company’s
priorities and leverages these opportunities
- Provides guidance and expertise
about the device selection process
- Develops device end-of-life strategy
- Analyzes and evaluates device
portfolio performance to ensure business objectives are met
- Works closely with OEM partners to
ensure availability of devices that meet the needs of the company’s
consumer target segments
- Works with supply chain and
logistics and quality teams to address performance issues

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business
required. Technical undergraduate education with business/product
management professional experience will be considered. MBA
preferred
- Five plus years of new product
development or business development experience in the wireless
industry
- Technical knowledge and
understanding of the wireless industry
- Ability to be a leader who can set
and/or implement strategy and course of action
- Ability to effectively operate
within cross functional groups
- Vendor management experience a plus
- Ability to prioritize and manage
multiple assignments simultaneously
- Well organized, strong communication
skills and detail oriented
- Strong written, oral communication
and presentation skills required
