Direct Sales Manager - East Region 

 

The Direct Sales Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the direct sales channel (business to business) within their assigned market(s).  They are responsible for achieving customer growth, retention, customer satisfaction, revenue and expense targets and for the overall development and oversight of the channel. 

 

Responsibilities

 

·         Lead by, and be an example of the principles of the Dynamic Organization.  Responsible for upholding the culture of the organization and holding self and others accountable to the strategy, values and behaviors of

·         U.S. Cellular.Hire, develop and retain a direct sales team that is focused on delivering the ideal customer experience and meeting the organization's financial goals and targets.

·         Assist in the negotiation of customer contracts and resolving escalated customer issues.

·         Develop and implement a sales and marketing plan that achieves all established goals, including but not limited to revenue targets, cost of sales, commissions and expense management, and gross add targets in accordance with budget.

·         Responsible for forecasting and reporting; including but not limited to sales forecasting, time reporting, vacation/time off tracking, expense reporting and approvals, variance reporting and explanations, tracking report, competitive report, etc.

·         Interpret, communicate and implement company policies and procudures within the area of responsibility while ensuring proper controls are in place to protect company assets, confidential/proprietary information and compliance to policies.

·         Travel as needed.

·         Assist in other tasks as needed or assigned by management.

 

 

Qualifications

 

·         High School diploma or equivalency required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.

·         2 years sales experience in a leveraged compensation environment required.

·         3-5 years experience in managing or selling in a major account environment required.

·         1 year of outside sales experience required.

·         2 years of managing direct reports in a sales environment preferred.

·         Wireless sales experience preferred.

·         Strong verbal and written communications skills required.

·         Strong interpersonal skills required.
