Lead the Regional Communications team which acts as the business interface between our clients in the Field Marketing Teams and the company's external agencies and internal Creative Services team in order to deliver high-impact marketing communications solutions.  These solutions include but are not limited to; radio ads, print ads, flyers, direct marketing, banners, on-site elements for sponsorships and event marketing in support of building the brand.   This role will lead (2) Regional Communications Manager associates and leads the development and execution of strategy, measurement metrics and operational processes for all Regional Communications activities.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and manage (2) associates including:  annual goal setting, performance evaluation, associate development, coaching, teaching, driving the Dynamic Organization culture and other leadership activities.
  • Lead Regional Communications team in providing integrated and high-impact marketing communications solutions to our Field Marketing clients. 
  • Cultivate a client focused team culture for supporting the field marketing teams.
  • Team with Sr. Manager, Creative Services department to reduce creative revisions by increasing inter-team communication and collaboration and provding the most on-target and innovative solutions.
  • Partner with Sr. Manager, Sponsorship & Events and Sr. Managers, Field Marketing to understand annual activities in order to be more proactive and planful in supporting these teams with marketing communications solutions.
  • Lead Regional Communications department in proactively and periodically summarizing and assessing team effectiveness through observation and collection of feedback from field clients.
  • Lead evaluation of and provide recommendations for the evolution of client self-service web-based tools: i.e. Suttle Storefront, Retail Marketing Templates and other tools.
  • Serve as a Brand Management Team ambassador to the Field to help increase Brand awareness.
  • Identify and drive the implementation of best practices.
  • Assist in management of efforts  associated with third party vendors & agencies in partnership with internal primary relationship owners.
  • This role will also take on campaigns / projects 10-20% of the time.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications; MBA a plus
  • 5-8 years of work experience in a creative / advertising agency, communications company or a corporate marketing communications department.
  • Ideal candidate candidate has 2-4 years of leadership experience  (Direct reporting or indirect team leading)      
  • Prior leadership experience preferred but not required
  • Proven record of translating strategy into tactical execution
  • An ability to lead, inspire, coach and motivate a team
  • Consumer marketing background required
  • Event marketing experience a plus
  • Ability to work well with people building alliances internally and externally
  • Ability to manage complex and large projects
  •  Results oriented
  •  Exceptional project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment is a must.
