The Retail Business Development Manager is responsible for driving
business to business sales through the Retail distribution channels in a
defined territory as well as maintaining an individual book of
accounts. This position includes development of business to business
capabilities, support of business to business customer sales and service
by Retail representatives. Supports retail stores in the development of
small business solutions. Leverages sales opportunities and minimizes
channel differences through the development of strong relationships with
sales leaders and associates. Applies the principles of the Dynamic
Organization. |

Responsibilities |
|

Develop
company-owned retail commitment to direct sales focused on small to
medium business customers.

Provides training
and on-going coaching to retail leaders and associates to access
U.S. Cellular’s resources to provide support to small/medium
business sales and customer service; coach/train business pricing,
custom pricing, sales process, proposal development, and selling
skills to leaders.

Maintain
relationships with leaders and associates in the Retail and Direct
Management teams to leverage sales opportunities and minimize
channel conflicts.

Implement and
execute working business plans to drive sales of small business to
business sales that are aligned with corporate, regional and market
strategic priorities.

Develop, in
conjunction with sales leaders, communicate and track
monthly/quarterly business to business sales goals and productivity
expectations for individual retail locations, within area of
responsibility.

Maintain up-to-date
knowledge of competitors’ offerings and services to develop and
maintain a competitive edge.

Act as a point of
escalation for business accounts originated in the retail
organization, within area of responsibility. Develop proposals and
participate in sales calls to mid-sized customers.

Drive sales of data
related products and services to small/medium business customers.

Ensure that retail
associates have tools, process knowledge, to provide the ideal
customer experience to small/medium businesses.

Assist in other
tasks, duties, or projects as assigned by management.

Attend all required
U.S. Cellular training programs and meetings.

Attend sales and
marketing events as needed.

Travel as needed.

Qualifications |
|

High School diploma
or state equivalency required; Associates or Bachelors degree
preferred.

5 years total sales
experience, minimum of 3 years outside sales experience preferred.

Ability to display
strong time management, organizational, and problem solving skills.

Strong
communication and interpersonal skills required.

Ability to travel
is required.

Demonstration of
negotiation skills required.

Demonstrates
ability to motivate selling and maintain a high level of performance
in self and others.
-
Business to
business sales environment experience highly desired.
-
Ability to
understand and demonstrate technical concepts necessary.
