Business Account Executive- East Region 

 

The Business Account Executive is responsible for managing a defined territory with a Targeted Book of Account (geographically or vertically defined) of companies generally classified as mid-sized businesses.  Applies the principles of the Dynamic Organization to develop and foster long-term relationships and customer retention of business accounts.  Develops relationships with employees of companies in assigned territory to generate sales as well as to improve customer loyalty and retention.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and maintain an book of accounts including vital background information including business specifics, client contact(s) and wireless potential.
  • Utilize the account profile to develop an action plan designed to achieve maximum wireless service levels, including corporate, employee, data and product/feature to target customer group.
  • Manage targeted and current customer base through effective funnel management.
  • Maintain appropriate detailed records for each account.
  • Prospect within existing, as well as potential accounts within targeted segment, to acquire additional business.
  • Conduct professional group presentations, produce professional proposals, and perform professional sales calls.
  • Represent U.S. Cellular in a defined territory to sell wireless communications services to new and existing business customers.
  • Develop new accounts from prospecting (cold calling, referrals, direct mail and networking in the community) that provide a minimum of 25 service lines (or potential) per account)
  • Build strong business relationships with customers by providing onsite customer care (when required) and assistance on upgrades, accessories, billing questions and service questions.
  • Focus on sales to mid-sized businesses currently having, or with the potential of having, 25-50 service lines   Additionally, maintain existing large accounts in defined territory.  Focus on both commercial and employee lines within those businesses.
  • Ratio of commercial lines to employee lines should be at 80%/20%.
  • Achieve all assigned sales goals for new accounts, new lines, revenue targets and average revenue per user.
  • Develop new business from a Targeted Book of Accounts that contains existing U.S. Cellular accounts.
  • Provide accurate and complete reporting on sales forecasts, prospects base, competition, equipment status, weekly itinerary and expenses as directed by management.
  • Report to management on the activity of assigned accounts on a periodic basis as determined by management.
  • Assist in other tasks, duties, or projects as assigned by management.
  • Attend all required U.S. Cellular training programs and meetings.
  • Attend sales and marketing events as needed.
  • Travel as needed.

Qualifications

 

  • High School diploma or state equivalency required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years direct or business to business sales required.
  • Ability to travel (sometimes significantly) is required.
  • Demonstration of strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Experience managing longer sales cycles, up to 6 months preferred.
  • Working knowledge of wireless technology preferred.
  • Experience in relation ship marketing, conceptual selling or equivalent preferred
