Lead strategy and planning for critical customer
segments while supporting the overall integrated marketing strategy,
profitability, growth, and customer satisfaction goals of the company.
This is a creative and analytical role: the successful candidate will
immerse themselves in the targeted customer segments, assimilating
customer data and research to formulate and document creative approaches
to attracting and retaining targeted segments, and create the short and
long-term plans required to achieve the company mission of satisfied
customers and profitable growth.

Responsibilities |
- Work cross functionally within various U.S.
Cellular® teams to produce gross add, churn, market penetration, and
revenue results based on U.S. Cellular® values and standards of
excellence.
- Serve as the champion for critical customer
segments - use marketing tools of segmentation, and targeting
- to define and address segment specific
opportunities to be integrated into the overall customer marketing
strategy.
- Contribute to the customer-focused
operational roadmap (incl. products, distribution, markets,
processes, etc.) and integrated customer acquisition and lifecycle
value management programs to support the overall company brand
position.
- Work closely with the Product Team to develop
and manage the planning and development of targeted products,
including brand development, TV, print, radio, direct marketing,
online, etc.
- Coordinate planning of strategic
implementation calendar based on relative segment opportunities and
available resources.
- Secure buy-in across organization to meet
integrated segment portfolio goals.
- Drive pro-active, detailed customer analytics
- trend monitoring, analysis, and reporting from a segment (vs.
geographic or regional) perspective.
- Create detailed business cases analyses and
financial models to support key strategic investment decisions
- Drive customer segment insight, knowledge,
and expertise to Marketing & Sales Operations teams, Regional teams
and front line associates.
- Support company-wide customer budgeting and
forecasting.

Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree required and MBA strongly
preferred.
- Wireless industry and management consulting
experience a strong plus
- 5 to 8 years of business experience including
critical marketing roles of market research, segmentation and
positioning, product development, business development, strategy
development and project and program management.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities that
include establishing strategic direction, delivering results through
wide organizational involvement, and maintaining a strong customer
focus.
- Strong project management skills; the ability
to break down complex problems into manageable goals is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
skills at all levels in the organization including Senior Executive
Management.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and strategic
skills needed. Ability to work with imperfect or incompatible data
is required.
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office
Products (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, etc.) is essential.
