With other senior leaders of the IS organization to
establish strategy, direction, and approaches for the IS function.

Ensure that the IS development activities address the
needs of the business through analysis and requirements, and achieve the
quality standards for that work.

Foster adoption of Dynamic Organization principles in IS
by teaching, developing leaders, and creating an environment of
accountability to values and behaviors.
§
Play a lead role in the evolution and maturation of the IT
function within company.
§
Lead the areas of the IT organization that conduct the
following activities:
High Level Technical
Feasibility
Provide the organization
with a quick technical feasibility assessment on ideas/projects prior to
official entry into PLP ideation phase. (initial estimate and
alternative solutions).
IS/Business Solutions
(Partner Management)
Develop partner
relationships with functional areas in order to maintain alignment with
business vision/strategy, provide active support from IS (metrics,
etc..), and provide consistent entry into the organization for projects
and general questions.
Requirements Management
and Analysis
Manage system level
requirements body of knowledge. Perform technical requirements analysis
and develop technical requirements for projects (incl. traceability) .
Serve as the “voice of the customer” throughout SDLC.
Software Configuration
Management
Ensures the delivery and support of tools and processes related to
Software Builds,
Software Configuration Management, Testing, and Requirements.
Including file management, version control, change tracking/auditing,
tool and process management, etc…
Test Automation
Develop automation
software in support of all testing phases, leverage automation to
streamline business activities and establish automation scripts to be
leveraged as a service for other organizations.
Release Management
Provide oversight and
governance over IS releases, design/implement processes for moving
releases into (pre) production, provide technical expertise for
packaging and aligning items into a release, strengthen change
governance, and provide PR analysis and management.
Quality Analysis
Implement defect tracking
and analysis to understand root cause, establish defect prevention
capabilities, and determine our cost of quality (failure cost,
inspect/test cost, and preventative cost).
Performance Testing
Create and maintain
performance benchmarks, measure how systems/enhancements perform against
benchmarks, understand scalability of solutions, and ensure performance
criteria have been met.
Enterprise Testing
Serve as the single point
of accountability (across all functional areas) for the end to end view
of testing on projects, develop overarching test strategies for
projects, and plan and execute system testing.
User Acceptance Testing
Manage and coordinate UAT
activities on projects – including ensuring test case creation,
identifying and training resources to execute testing, ensuring
environment readiness, and status reporting/tracking.
IS
Compliance/Audit/Risk
Manage and coordinate activities to
ensure that IS and Engineering successfully respond to organizational,
regulatory, and industry obligations (including SOX, PCI, etc...).
