The Senior
Instructional Designer is responsible for applying high level
instructional design principles to the development of innovative
learning programs to meet the demands of U.S. Cellular® associates.
This includes designing and developing highly customized
instructional solutions for enterprise-wide initiatives and other
on-going learning programs – both quick-hit/long-term and under
tight deadlines. |

Responsibilities |

Design, develop and
manage associate development program aligned with business strategy
and organizational priorities

Conduct and
continuously define audience assessment to determine delivery
technology needed to support overall strategy
-
Serve as consultant
during development of project/imitative related training plans
-
Partner with
Functional/Technical training teams to reduce redundancies in
development and delivery activities across Organizational Learning
-
Design role based
curriculum driven by detailed audience and stakeholder analysis
activities
-
Conduct best
practice research and leverage findings in variety of design and
development activities
-
Experience in
design and development of a variety of delivery vehicles; web-based,
classroom, self study, blended solutions
-
Develop and
maintain train-the-trainer/facilitator education for HR and Business
partners supporting Organizational Learning

Assists with
up-front situation analysis to determine training needs.

Conducts
individual, team and organizational performance consulting and
analysis and recommends value-added solutions to increase
performance / effectiveness.

Designs best-fit
instructional courses using Instructional Systems Design (ISD)
methodology that ensure client’s needs are being met.

Develops
instructional material (including job aids, administrative
instructions, etc.) in a wide range of delivery methods for
short-term interventions and long-term programs.

Assists with
facilitator / consultant certification and certification compliance
and develops / delivers train-the-trainer programs where necessary.

Develops formative
evaluation plans to ensure successful implementation and on-going
sustainability of course curriculum.

Provides
recommendations for integrating new curriculum into all existing
programs and courses.

Works in a team
based environment towards collaborative goals with other leadership
& organizational development professionals to enhance organizational
transformation towards a Dynamic Organization.

Keeps current in ID
innovations and improvements in learning development systems, strategies, tools and processes.

High school diploma
or equivalent required.
-
Bachelor degree in
instructional design, educational technology, or equivalent
certification and/or experience required.
-
Masters degree in
instructional design or training development preferred.
-
Five or more years
of formal training or teaching experience required.
-
Three or more years
of curriculum design and development required.
-
Proficiency with
Windows based PCs, including operational knowledge of MS suite of
software applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint).

Experience with
Adobe Writer, Adobe Presenter, Captivate, SnagIt, Macromedia
Dreamweaver and facilitation via WebEx preferred.

Exceptional oral
and written communication skills required.

Comfortable leading

Experience in
e-learning development preferred.

Ability to work in
